Hondo S. Carpenter, Sr. is the Sports Director and Anchor for WLAJ ABC 3 television in Lansing.  He is also the founder of www.SpartanNation.com a website that covers MSU Spartan Sports, the NFL and multiple other sports related subjects.  The site receives over 2 million hits with nearly 25,000 unique visitors per month.

Hondo is also the CEO of The Carpenter Group.  A company that handles all of his public speaking and endorsement/commercial work as well as provides motivational speaking for companies.  He not only anchors over 750 shows on television per year, but he also carries a public speaking schedule that has taken him around the world literally speaking to non-profits, businesses, athletic teams and schools and churches.  He also carries a full calendar of radio interviews from coast to coast about sports.

He is the only member off the electronic media (not paid by the team) that attends all MSU football, Big Ten basketball and Detroit Lions games home and away.

Carpenter serves on multiple boards and volunteers for several charities that are close to his heart.  He resides in Mid Michigan with his wife, three children, and 19 animals that includes prized Belgian horses.
